RFRC Club & News

Rockingham Forest Riding Club was formed back in March 1971 to bring together the riders and horse lovers of Northamptonshire and to improve and maintain the standard of riding and horsemanship.

We Arrange local show venues including Moulton College, Deer Farm and Boughton Park we also Have Training at various locations including Alley Farm, Boughton Park, Red Piece Equestrian and Manor Farm.

By becoming a member (membership form available here) of Rockingham Forest Riding Club you have the chance to collect points in our competitions and win one of our many trophies, presented by myself and the committee at our A.G.M

Rocking Forest Riding Club (RFRC) is happy to welcome both Junior and Senior members and is open to all horse lovers (including non-riders) in Northamptonshire and surrounding Counties.

We are an affiliated Riding Club, so you will get the BHS Riding Clubs magazine 'Rider' and the opportunity to represent the club at affiliated competitions both local and national. As an Affiliated club members also get a discount when purchasing merchandise from the BHS and get third party liability insurance whilst at riding club events.

Qualified instruction is available throughout the year, as is friendly horsey advice, lectures and demonstrations.

A huge thanks also goes to our volunteers and committee members who work tirelessly behind the scenes before, on and after show days to ensure everything is ready for you all to enjoy. We are always looking for an extra pair of hands so if you can even spare a few hours or half a day to help at a show or just an hour or two at a working party please don't hesitate to get in touch with our committee.

Club Update

We find ourselves in the sad territory of considering wrapping up the club. The club has a long history and it's such a sad thing to even be considering but we have very few members. The club has been struggling for a little while and covid hasn't helped.

For the club to continue we desperately need you to support us and join us next month as a member. We also need people to volunteer to join the committee and help us move forwards, without this help we will have to fold the club because we just do not have the manpower to save it and move it forwards.

We would love to turn the club around but we can't do it without support. Please help us save the club and reach its 50th anniversary next year! What a shame it would be to lose our club before that milestone!

Please message us directly with any support you can offer. Becky Hall
